Blessings.

Wednesday June 1st, 2022 Today we were asked to look for blessings throughout the day.    Probably the easiest challenge over all for the week, at least for me - there have been an abundance of blessings all week long.    So many people in the community wanting better for themselves and their neighbors and people coming out and being willing to help.    So many people able to see much better than they did before because we were able to bring an optical mission.    So many more blessings.  But, today was extra special.    We spent the morning watching Encanto the movie with the kids of the special needs school.    A few things to tweak but all in all I think the kids loved it.    Then after lunch, we had a ribbon cutting ceremony for the feeding center.    So many people from different departments of Honduras were present at that ceremony, and every single one of them super supportive of the mission....

Trust in the path

 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight”.  Proverbs 3:5-6 What a great day today was.  It was super busy in optical and we saw over a 100 patients.  Josie was able to run most of optical with the help of a few other team members.  It has been a blessing having multiple people trained on the equipment to enable me to do other things.   Today, I was driving into town with Jorge one of our translators, and Kyrie and Taylor.  We were on the hunt for more sunglasses and low power readers.  Our translator wasn’t sure where to look for them and decided to pull over for a second.  We happened to pull over right in front of an optometrist.  After discussing whether we should go in and talk with them, we finally did.  What happened next, was an amazing experience that was so clearly guided by God.  Angie, the Dr. Working there ask...
